Breaking and Sparing the Spirit

However, the process of taming a horse or a child has to be based on trust and not fear.
Acceptance and not anger.
Often, we forget the spirit in each living thing.
We ignore the spirited horse or child, instead we become an authoritarian rather than in parntership with someone.
Therefore, we can write over that pure, spirited soul that falls into our laps.
And wound or clip the wings of freedom of that soul.
So, the question is then how can we discipline without destroying the perfect soul that falls into out laps?
